Amber is a dance recording superstar from the 90’s and early 2000’s. Since her debut single, “This Is Your Night,” she has achieved tremendous success on the dance charts. She has released four full-length dance albums, and several dance remix albums. Five of her singles have reached #1 on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. And in December 2016, Billboard ranked her as the 34th-most successful dance artist of all time.
Whenever I reminisce of the good ol’ days when the clubs were packed, and the dancefloors were hopping, there wasn’t a night that didn’t consist of a Deborah Cox remix or an Amber remix. Those divas were the epitome of a perfect night out on the town with friends, drinks, and dancing. Oh how I miss those days!
A historical honorable mention is her amazing collaboration with Jocelyn Enriquez and Ultra Nate on the Studio 54 track “If You Could Read My Mind.” Calling themselves Stars On 54, these three divas gave me so much life on the dancefloor. Thank you, ladies, for recording a dance anthem track like no other. And thank you, Hex Hector, for remixing one of the best dance singles of all time.
