Destiny’s Child was a female R&B group consisting of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. The trio had a successful run in the late 90s and early 2000s. They racked up four #1 hits on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as four #1 hits on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. They also released five full-length studio albums, a remix album, and a remix EP with many of their biggest dance mixes.
Destiny’s Child originated as a quartet comprised of Beyonce, Kelly, and two other girls, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. After two albums, that latter two left the group, and were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. Farrah only lasted a few months before leaving the group as a trio. At that point, Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle took the group to new heights. They released two more albums, and disbanded in 2006. Each of them pursued a solo career, and they continue to make music separately today. However, the ladies reunited in 2013 to perform during the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in New Orleans, Louisiana.
