Niki Haris Remixes

My first introduction to Niki Haris was through the Madonna world tours, beginning with the Who’s That Girl Tour in 1987. She continued to travel with Madonna and sing backup on all world tours through 2001. During that time, Niki was writing and recording her own music and released a number of albums and singles, including some collaborations with the successful euro-dance group Snap!. Her debut single was actually a collaboration with another Madonna colleague, Jellybean. That song, “What’s It Gonna Be,” charted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at #90, and barely missed the top spot on the Dance Club Songs chart peaking at #2. That same year, Niki collaborated with the pop group Natural Selection on a song called “Do Anything.” That song climbed all the way to #2 on the Hot 100. Years later, Niki finally claimed a #1 single on the dance chart, when she collaborated with The Perry Twins on the single “Bad, Bad Boy.”

Niki’s music style is very diverse, as we find her recording music under many different genres. She can be found on some great dance anthem tracks, as well as some R&B, gospel, jazz, and world music. In 2003, Niki released a spectacular all-dance album titled “Dance.”

While touring with Madonna on various world tours, Niki met Donna DeLory. Together, they became a staple of Madonna’s most famous concerts and performances in the 80s and 90s. Their voices harmonized so beautifully, inspiring them to record music together. In fact, they recently recorded an EP, simply titled “Two Friends.” It began as an online campaign to allow pledgers to fund their musical project, and I am happy to have contributed to the project. It turned out so incredibly amazing!
