Wynter Gordon got her start by singing on songs that she personally wrote and submitted to other artists. She was then included as a featured artist on songs by Flo Rida and David Guetta, and soon released her own material. She instantly became a star on the dance charts, and racked up a handful of hits, including the #1 single, “Dirty Talk.” Follow-up singles, “Til Death” and “Buy My Love,” barely missed the top spot.
Wynter has released a full-length album, as well as a number of EP albums. Many of these EP’s offer a wide range of genre recordings. She has not only gifted us with some great dance tracks, but she has also experimented in R&B, Indie-pop, funk, soul, and Zulu-pop. In fact, in 2016 Wynter announced that she was no longer using the stage name Wynter Gordon, and would instead start using her birth name, Diana Gordon.
FUN FACT: Wynter has written songs recorded by Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, and Beyonce, including Beyonce’s hit single “Sorry” which features the infamous line “Becky with the good hair.”
