Tamia is a successful R&B singer who first hit the charts in the mid-1990s. After numerous charting singles on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as the US Billboard R&B Songs chart, she saw her biggest hit to date climb to #3 on the Hot 100. That single, “Stranger In My House,” also climbed the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart all the way to #1. DJ’s Barry Harris and Chris Cox, together as Thunderpuss, contributed to that feat on the dance charts. They again contributed to her follow-up single, “Tell Me Who,” which barely missed the top spot, peaking at #2 on the dance chart.
I had the honor of seeing a Tamia concert in October of 2018. My takeaway is that she is not just a pretty face. The girl can sing!
