Kristine W is an icon in the dance music industry and the gay community. While being a staunch supporter of LGBTQ rights, she frequently performs at gay pride rallies and charity events for pro-LGBTQ organizations in the US. Billboard magazine has named her one of the “Greatest Dance Music Artists of All Time,” as well as the “Top Dance Artist of the Decade.” She certainly deserves the honor by being one of the most engaged and influential dance acts of our time. Her voice is uniquely captivating and gorgeous. She even plays piano, saxophone, guitar, and kick drums. Her divine talent is endless and beyond measure.
At a young age, Kristine excelled in beauty pageants and talent contests, winning Miss Tri-Cities, Miss Washington, and placing first in the talent and swimsuit competitions in the Miss America pageant. She also won the title of “Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year” after several years of headlining her own show at the Las Vegas Hilton. It was during her Vegas residency that she was approached with a recording contract… and the rest is dance diva history!
To date, Kristine has reached #1 on the US Billboard Dance Club Chart a total of 17 times. This puts her in a three-way tie for the sixth position of the artist with the most number one singles on that particular dance chart. She is tied with Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez, while trailing behind Katy Perry (fifth with 19), Janet Jackson (fourth with 20), Beyonce (third with 22), Rihanna (second with 33), and Madonna (first place with 50).
