Kiesza is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer who also plays keyboard and guitar. She has an eclectic style of music, sometimes labeled as trap, trip-hop, drum-n-bass, and deep house. Her debut single, “Hideaway,” was an international success, reaching #1 in several countries while peaking at #51 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Over on the Dance Club Songs chart, she took the track all the way to #5, solidifying her status as a dance artist.
In 2017, Keisza was in a car accident and suffered some serious injuries. She was forced to take time off to recover, and in that time she learned to focus on herself. She spoke about her experience and was quoted as saying “I came out of this journey wanting to be vulnerable, bare all, and empower people to be accepting and loving of themselves, no matter what they’re going through.”
