That remarkable sultry voice of Toni Braxton is something of angels and vixens. She lures you in, and you can’t let go. You find yourself mesmerized with each note. Even when she sings with her sisters, The Braxtons, it is something amazing.
I can recall when her album Secrets was released, and how I would sing all of her songs out loud in my car. I purposely took long roads home just so I could hear the entire album in surround sound via my self-installed Pioneer stereo system. The acoustics made this powerhouse diva sound out of this world.
Toni has had success all across the globe. In the US, she has scored over a dozen Hot 100 hits. On that chart, she reached the pinnacle twice, with the singles “Un-Break My Heart” and “You’re Makin’ Me High.” Over on the Dance Club Songs chart, she has reached the top spot six times, with the most current chart-topper being the single “Coping” from 2018.
I had the pleasure of seeing Toni in concert in January of 2019, when she came to Atlanta for her As Long As I Live Tour.
