The Pussycat Dolls are an American girl group and dance ensemble who has had a great number of successful dance pop songs. The six Dolls of the group include Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt. After the first album, Bachar left the group and the remaining five recorded their second full-length album. After disbanding in 2010, each of the Dolls went on to record other musical projects. As a group, The Pussycat Dolls earned their biggest hit with “Don’t Cha,” reaching number one in over 15 countries, but peaking at #2 in the US on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The song spent three weeks at #2, being held off from the top spot by Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together.” However, “Don’t Cha” did reach #1 on the Billboard US Dance Club Songs chart. The group has had six entries on the Dance Club Songs chart, and all six of them hit #1.
In 2019, the group reunited and I couldn’t be happier. All original members reconnected, with the exception of Melody. A new song, and an upcoming tour, are on the agenda. It is also rumored that a new album is being recorded. Yassss!
