English recording artist Lisa Stansfield is making headlines once again in the music scene. After a ten year absence, she is back with a brand new album and music video. She is best known for her 1989 hit “All Around The World,” which went on to hit #1 in almost every country worldwide. Although it only climbed as high as number three in the U.S., it did manage to top the U.S. Dance chart.
Lisa went on to top the Dance chart numerous times in the decade following her success. Some of her biggest dance hits include “You Can’t Deny It,” “This Is The Right Time,” “Change,” “People Hold On,” “Never, Never Gonna Give You Up,” “Never Gonna Fall,” and “I’m Leavin’.”
Since her last album, The Moment, released in 2004, Lisa has been busy acting in movies and television shows. It was in 2013 that she announced that she was in works to release her seventh studio album, appropriately titled Seven. The new album was released in January 2014, and has garnered three singles so far. The first single, “Can’t Dance,” was released with remixes by Moto Blanco, Snowboy, and Cool Million. The second single, “Carry On,” only has one remix that is not as club friendly. The third and latest single, “So Be It,” offers a nice helping by Cahill.
