Jocelyn Enriquez is an American singer who first made headlines in the US with her freestyle-dance debut single, “I’ve Been Thinking About You.” It climbed to #80 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, and also charted on the US Dance Sales and Rhythmic charts. Since then, she has racked up a number of hits on the Hot 100 and the Dance Club Songs chart. She topped the Dance Sales chart with “A Little Bit Of Ecstasy” in 1997, and then topped the Dance Club Songs chart with “When I Get Close To You” in 2000.
I fell in love with her music the moment I first heard it. As a lover of the 80’s freestyle sound, Jocelyn’s music was “a little bit of ecstasy” for me. Her music, her voice, and her beauty were all unmatched, and I collected all of her album releases, and remixed singles. A historical honorable mention is her amazing collaboration with Ultra Nate and Amber on the Studio 54 track “If You Could Read My Mind.” Calling themselves Stars On 54, these three divas gave me so much life on the dancefloor. Thank you, ladies, for recording a dance anthem track like no other. And thank you, Hex Hector, for remixing one of the best dance singles of all time.
