Alex first gained recognition as the character Unique Adams on the musical series Glee. In 2011, Alex was among 34,000 applicants to submit an audition video for the first season of Oxygen’s The Glee Project. His self-taped audition earned him over one million MySpace views, as well as a spot among the 12 participants who competed for a seven-episode arc on Glee. Eventually, he became the series’ first runner-up, and despite not winning first place, the producers were so impressed that they decided to bring him on Glee for several episodes in season three. He was then brought back for season four, promoted to main cast status for season five, and was a recurring guest star for season six.
Alex has an amazing voice, and it lays so beautifully over pop, house, and disco beats, giving him a nice home in the dance music industry. He has even worked with such greats as Nile Rogers, Clean Bandit, Blonde, DJ Cassidy, and The Knocks.
